Our Mission
Our mission at Tres’OR is to support schools in the Upper Rhine region in their development towards sustainable, future-oriented educational institutions. Faced with the challenges of the 21st century – from climate change to technological changes and the strengthening of democratic values – we believe that education is the key to preparing young people for a responsible and active role in society.
We are committed to creating an intergenerational culture of cooperation that overcomes the borders between the countries of the Upper Rhine and promotes a common European identity. With innovative teaching materials, practical projects and targeted training opportunities for teachers, we want to strengthen important future skills in the areas of democratic culture, digital skills, sustainable development, multilingualism and intercultural skills. Our mission is to network educational institutions across national borders and thus promote an inclusive and cross-border learning landscape in which young people can actively participate in shaping their region.
Together with our partners and the schools in the Upper Rhine region, we are shaping the future of a strong, diverse and sustainable border region – a region that inspires young people to develop their potential and shape the future responsibly and with confidence.
Our Vision
Our vision at Tres’OR is a sustainable, democratic and closely networked Upper Rhine region in which education connects across all borders. We dream of a future in which pupils from Germany, France and Switzerland not only learn together, but also grow together – strengthened by multilingualism, cultural diversity and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities of our time.
We see a border region in which schools are innovative places of learning that prepare young people for a responsible, active role in their society. A region in which democratic culture and values, sustainability, digital sovereignty and social justice are the foundation of the education system. Our vision is an education that makes the Upper Rhine a role model for European cooperation and shaping the future, in which diversity is seen as a strength and in which children and young people learn to think and act not only locally but also globally.
With Tres’OR, we want to actively promote this change by supporting and networking schools and teachers. Our vision is a common European educational landscape in the Upper Rhine region in which every young person has the opportunity to play an active role in society and help shape a positive future.
